ABOUT

Create for Being is a friendly artistic practice you can come to and enjoy letting your creative self free. With a number of workshop options available they are a great opportunity to explore the inner self through the creative artistic process in a safe, critic free environment.

 

Workshops are taught by Tabitha who is a practicing artist and creative facilitator.

Tabitha has been painting/creating since 2004. She creates to keep her mind and soul healthy from the stressors caused by daily life. She has improved and developed the use of multiple mediums and techniques.  Tabitha has solo exhibited and taken part in a number of group exhibitions. Tabitha is currently studying in Anthroposophical Artistic Therapies and has been facilitating various artistic workshops for 10yrs. She is passionate about helping people to connect with their creativity enriching their lives.

CURRENT AVAILABLE WORKSHOPS

Beginner Resin Workshop

Cost: $85

Date/Time: 16th November 2:30-4:30

Venue: The Rotorua Arts Village

Age: 16+

Using Resin, paint, pigments, glitter, shells to create your very own Resin artwork. You will complete a 400mm x 400mm painting (hexagon shaped). Learn the all about resin safety, how to pigment it and how to use it to create a stunning artwork. You will be guided through the process making it easy to follow perfect if you’re a beginner, with all materials provided this is a great introduction workshop to working with resin.

Fantasy Flowers

(Watercolour & Mixed Media)

 

Cost: $35 per workshop

Date/Time: 6-8pm, Wednesday 30th October 2019

Venue: The Arts Village Rotorua

Ages: 12+

A Fun and Relaxing workshop, we will create some watercolour flowers then jazz them up with paint pens, glitter glue, 3d paint.

Glass Fused Pendants

(Using a Microwave Kiln)

 

Cost: $50

Date/Time: Thursday 24th October 2019

Venue: Home Studio Rotorua

Make your own Glass fused pendant in a microwave kiln. Learn the safety of using a microwave kiln and Glass cutting to design and fuse your own pendant. Lots of fun to be had, creating glass master pieces using Dichroic glass.

Creativity is fundamental to human health and well-being, it can be enlightening, invigorating, deeply moving, playful, fun and healing.

 

Want to learn to draw, paint or you have no idea, don't worry we will work together to find something create to suit you and your goals.

 

Join me in these weekly workshops to bring some creativity into your life as we relax and leave our daily stressors behind. Don’t have any creative or artistic experience, don’t worry these workshops are for you, I will be there to guide you as you enjoy creating and letting go. During these creative workshops, we will be using multiple techniques to explore colour and artistic techniques. Techniques may include (not limited to): wet on wet watercolour painting, observational drawing, charcoal drawing, pastel drawing, stroke drawing, dynamic line drawing, clay modelling.

Materials Provided. No Previous Experience Necessary.
